PRESS RELEASE JUROR.CA SEPTEMBER 21, 2008
The last week of the federal election has seen a lot of
finger pointing
regarding the marijuana issue. Juror.ca would like to sum up where
the Canadian voters stand in regards to the marijuana issue.
All recent polls clearly show the Canadian majority wants legalization
with 55% in a recent Angus Reid poll showing support for total
legalization.( See below )
Polls also show that a whopping 83% want some sort of change which
would include the somewhat nebulous concept of decriminalization. This is
a stunning majority of voters as shown by a recent Sun - Leger Poll. ( see
below )
Juror.ca would like to remind all politicians that this issue needs to be
dealt with as a law that is not supported by the majority is a tyranny.
Juror.ca would also like to remind Canadians that when a law is outdated
and they are faced with such a tyranny - they need not support such a law
if called to jury duty.
